Privacy policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data Venly collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what you send us, plus the standard logs needed to keep the site running.

01Who we are

Venly Group (“Venly”, “we”, “us”) is a holding and technology company. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which covers this website and the messages you send us through it.

This policy does not cover our operating companies’ products. SendGram, Authet and Voygo.ai are separate legal entities. When you open an account, send money, verify your identity or use any of their services, that company is the controller of your data and its own privacy notice applies. You can find it in the relevant app or on that company’s website.

We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), as they apply to us.

02The data we collect

We keep what we collect to a minimum. This website has no user accounts, analytics or advertising trackers.

Information you give us

  • Contact form: the desk you choose (for example Customer support or Press), your name, your email address and your message.
  • Emails: if you write to us directly, or if the form hands your message to your own email app, we receive whatever your email contains, including your email address and any attachments.
  • Job applications: if you apply for a role, we receive your CV, contact details, work history and anything else you choose to share with us.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like any website, our hosting provider records technical details of each request: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working.

Please do not send us passwords, card numbers, account PINs or identity documents through this website. If your query is about a SendGram account, use the in-app support chat, where your identity can be verified safely.

03How we use it, and our legal basis

We use personal data only for the purposes below. For each one, the law requires us to have a legal basis.

We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising or make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

04Who we share it with

We share personal data only when we need to, and only with:

  • Our service providers: our website host and our email provider. They process data only on our instructions and under contracts that protect it.
  • Our group companies: SendGram, Authet or Voygo.ai, when your message is about their services.
  • Professional advisers: such as lawyers, auditors and insurers, where necessary.
  • Authorities: regulators, courts and law-enforcement agencies, when the law requires it or when we need to protect our rights, our users or the public.
  • A buyer or successor: if all or part of our business is reorganised or sold, under the same protections described here.

05International transfers

We work from London and Lagos, and some of our service providers operate in other countries. Your data may therefore be processed outside the country where you live.

When we transfer personal data out of the UK or Nigeria, we make sure it stays protected. We rely on an adequacy decision where one exists. Otherwise, we use an approved safeguard such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent mechanism recognised under the NDPA. Contact us if you would like more detail.

06How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless they become part of a complaint, contract or legal matter that needs a longer record.
  • Unsuccessful job applications: up to 12 months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to keep your details on file for longer.
  • Server logs: for a short period, then deleted or anonymised. This is normally no more than 90 days, unless we need them to investigate a security incident.

When we no longer need personal data, we delete it securely or anonymise it.

07How we protect it

This website is served only over HTTPS. Access to the messages you send us is limited to the staff who need it, and we apply the same security and access-control practices that protect our group’s systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if anything goes wrong, including notifying you and the regulator where the law requires it.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to it;
  • receive data you gave us in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email tech@venly.tech with the subject “Data request”. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within one month. If your request is complex, we may need longer and will tell you why. Using your rights is normally free.

You can also complain to a data protection regulator. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). In Nigeria, it is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng). We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

09Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use similar tracking technologies. Our cookie policy explains this in more detail.

10Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly where we can.
